NEON POUR

雨の夜、タワーを打つ。

POUR THE TOWER, THROUGH THE RAINY NIGHT.

A vertical-scrolling shmup set on a night construction site in 2099. Pilot your craft up a 40-floor tower, back up pour-leader Mio and her cat FYO-CHI, and re-seal the runaway core — one pour at a time.

THE GAME

Casual to pick up. Serious underneath.
気軽に触れて、本格的に撃てる。

Built for a few minutes on the train — and for players who stay for the bullet patterns. Icons over text, one-thumb controls, and a full 40-floor campaign with story scenes, a crew to hire, and a base to build between shifts.

Drag. Dodge. The shots take care of themselves.

Move by dragging — your craft fires on its own. Energy cans drift through bullet fire untouched: fly into one to collect it, and its colour tells you exactly what it does. The colour is fixed the moment it appears, so every pickup is a decision.

A tower you pour, floor by floor

Each floor is a pour: 3 zones, a mid-boss in zone 2 and the floor boss in zone 3. Backgrounds change as you climb, story scenes land on key floors, and floor 40 ends with the site AI itself — and one final pour at dawn.

Hire the night shift. Build the base.

Between sorties, hire from a crew of 26 workers and 7 site animals, set your formation, and grow the SITE BASE — a linked trailer-house camp where the crew lives during the job. What you build changes how the next shift goes.

Story scenes are placed on eleven floors. Tap a marked floor to see what waits there — no spoilers beyond the outline.

STORY FLOORS

Top = 40F. B1F is the training floor — revisit it any time.

FLOOR 1

First pour of the night

20:00 — the night-shift briefing ends, and the pour begins. The machines that should be following DANDORI's schedule start moving on their own. Mio's call is the crew's rule: first, we pour.

STORY — 2099

The night the site AI woke up wrong
現場AIが暴走した夜

2099: a future close to home

Not starships — today, extended. Surveying and hauling belong to machines; people keep the judgement. Summer heat made night pours the standard, crews are multinational with AI translation in every ear, and concrete now fixes CO2 as it cures. What never changes: gravity, rain, the weight of a hose — and a cat living on site.

The crew is not one company: a general contractor at the top, and first-tier subcontractors — a different firm for every trade — gathered under one schedule. That schedule was run by DANDORI, the contractor's site-management AI, the voice of every morning briefing.

Then resonance with the Core — a reactor left from an old experimental facility beneath the site — sent DANDORI out of control. Now the crew pours upward through its own machines, floor by floor, to reach 40F and re-seal the Core with the final pour.

THE CREW

The night shift
夜班の仲間たち

Mio Amamiya in yellow work gear waving beside the pump piping on a rainy night site

POUR LEADER — CONCRETE PUMPING SPECIALIST

MIO AMAMIYAAGE 22

Joined at 20, earned her Grade-2 pumping licence at 22 and was handed the night shift the same year. She reads drawings, works out volumes and truck intervals herself, and makes the call to stop a pour before she makes any report. Her rule, and her catchphrase:

“It's fine — we can pour.”

FYO-CHI, a calico cat with green eyes wearing a yellow site helmet, sitting on a tool case in the rain

SITE CAT — MIO'S PARTNER

FYO-CHICALICO · GREEN EYES

A calico Mio found on a rainy day in her first year on the job, and her partner ever since. In battle she rides the site hover-drone you guide — and around the base she is, officially, patrol staff. The yellow helmet is regulation. Probably.

The crew's electrician at work among cables on the night site

Electrician

Fast, exact wiring — and the one who saves the shift when site power fails.

The crew's crane and heavy-machinery operator at her station

Machine operator

Millimetre-precise at the levers, high above the deck — the lift everyone on site trusts.

The mixer-truck driver of the night crew

Mixer driver

The site's clock runs on her arrival times. The orange muffler never comes off, even in summer.

Hachi, the shiba inu of the site animals, on patrol

Hachi — site dog

A shiba, and one of the seven site animals who live at the base and patrol it with the crew.

The full roster — 26 people and 7 animals, each from a different trade and a different company — is hired in-game through the crew system. Character setting sheets stay in the workshop; what ships publicly is the game itself.

HOW TO PLAY

On shift in 30 seconds
30秒で出勤

01

Open itch.io and press play

No download, no account. The game runs in the browser on phone or PC — start from B1F, the training floor, whenever you like.

02

Drag to fly, grab the cans

Shots are automatic, so your whole job is position: thread the patterns, and touch energy cans to collect their fixed-colour effects.

03

Pour the floor, climb the tower

Clear 3 zones, beat the floor boss, spend site coins, hire crew, build the base — then clock in for the next floor, all the way to 40F.

SOUNDTRACK

NIGHT SHIFT FREQUENCIES

Album jacket of NIGHT SHIFT FREQUENCIES — a tower drawn in cyan lines like an equaliser, over rain streaks and wet concrete
Electro jacket — the tower as an equaliser

The game's music, collected as an electro album: deep-focus pulses for the climb, machine resonance for the bosses, pads for the dawn after. Every track carries its own cover in the same geometric language — thin cyan lines on deep teal, rain over wet concrete.

The companion game NEON SOUND turns this music into something you play by making it: tap shrinking geometry and trace the flowing graphics, and the notes you hear are the tracks' own melodies and drum hits — never substitute synth tones.

NEON SOUND

IN THE SERIES

A music game where you build the performance yourself — geometry taps and traced lines over the NEON POUR soundtrack, scored lightly, like a session rather than an exam.

NEON TOWER

IN THE SERIES

A story-driven auto-battle RPG built from the same crew and their life-size figures. Its core is the pour-line defence: guard the pressure line from pump to hose-end and hold the formwork until the pour is complete — a cut line means the floor is lost.
